How we handle your information when you order, enquire or browse.

Who we are

Al-Hazima Restaurant serves halal Thai, Malay, Western and Indian food from 4 Cheong Chin Nam Road, Singapore 599729. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

We handle personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). If you have any question about this policy, contact us using the details at the end of this page.

Information we collect

When you place an order

  • Your name, phone number and email address
  • Your delivery address and postal code, or your choice to self-collect
  • The items in your order, including sizes, options, add-ons and any note you leave for the kitchen
  • Your order history and the status of each order

Payment is processed by our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card number, and we never store your CVV.

When you send an enquiry

The enquiry form on our Contact page collects your name, phone number, email address, the type of enquiry and your message. Catering enquiries may also include your event date, guest count and dish preferences.

When you browse

Like most websites, we collect limited technical information automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the site you arrived from. This is used to keep the site working and secure.

Why we use your information

  • To prepare, pack and deliver your order, or have it ready for collection
  • To work out your delivery fee, which is based on the postal sector of your address
  • To contact you about your order, including if an item is unavailable or the driver cannot find your address
  • To answer enquiries and prepare catering quotations
  • To keep proper business and accounting records
  • To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive orders
  • To improve our menu, our website and our service

We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to. If we ever send promotional messages, every message will include a way to stop them.

Delivery and your address

We use the first two digits of your postal code to determine your delivery sector and the corresponding delivery fee, which ranges from $6 to $15. Your name, phone number and address are passed to the driver handling your delivery so they can reach you.

We do not deliver to Pulau Ubin, the Changi Airport Cargo Complex, or Tanah Merah Coast Road. If you order to one of these locations we will contact you and refund the order.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them for a few specific purposes:

  • Essential cookies keep your cart contents and your session while you order and check out. The site cannot work without these.
  • Preference cookies remember choices such as the cuisine tab you were last browsing.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand which dishes and pages people look at, in aggregate.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, the cart and checkout will not work.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where it is needed to run the restaurant:

  • Our payment provider, to take payment securely
  • Delivery drivers and delivery partners, to bring your order to you
  • Our website host and IT providers, who keep the site and its data running
  • Government agencies, regulators or law enforcement, where we are required by law to do so

How long we keep it

Order and payment records are kept for at least five years, as required for tax and accounting purposes in Singapore. Enquiry messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any follow-up. If you hold an account on this site, the details in it are kept until you ask us to remove them.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used
  • Correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date
  • Withdraw your consent to us using your data for a particular purpose
  • Delete data we no longer have a legal or business reason to keep

Write to us using the contact details below and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can. We may need to confirm your identity first, and some records must be kept even after a deletion request where the law requires it.

Keeping your information safe

This site is served over an encrypted connection and access to order records is limited to staff who need it. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and to act quickly if something goes wrong.

Children

This site is intended for adults placing food orders. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us their details, please contact us and we will remove them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our service changes. The current version is always the one published on this page.
